Over Dressed & Over Drunk: A Day at The Melbourne Cup {Weekly Top 10}
It’s the annual Melbourne Cup Horse Races. Think Kentucky Derby but way bigger. So big in fact the Aussies have made it a public holiday. As it turned out the actual horse racing seemed to be of little consequence – it’s time to get dressed up and get hammered. An adult prom under the guise of a horse race. An event that mixes high class and low brow beautifully, seamlessly and effortlessly as the afternoon draws to an end. Are the Melbourne Cup Races about horses, fashion or champagne? Let’s have another drink and think about it.
